Donald W. Bourne Jr.
Don Jr. has over three decades of experience in the investment industry. Before his tenure at the firm commenced in 1989, he served as a trust officer at the Horizon Trust Company of New Jersey. During this period, he collaborated with a team of portfolio managers, including our esteemed Senior Portfolio Manager, John Lent, refining his expertise in portfolio management. In 1989, Don Jr. transitioned to Bourne Management, Inc. in Montclair, New Jersey, where he assumed leadership of the Montclair office. Following the establishment of the Yarmouth, Maine office shortly thereafter, he continued to oversee operations until 1999, when the firm relocated its main office to Bedford Hills, New York. Presently, Don Jr. directs the firm's headquarters in Pawling, New York.
Don Jr. graduated from Allegheny College in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, following his earlier education at Glen Ridge High School. Despite his professional commitments, he maintains strong ties to the Montclair, NJ area, holding a longstanding membership at the Montclair Golf Club. Additionally, he retains a founding membership at the Sherman, CT River Oaks Club. Residing in Connecticut with his two sons, Don Jr. finds solace in pursuits such as sailing, golfing, fishing, and boating on Candlewood Lake.

PORTFOLIO MANAGER
John Lent CFA
John Lent has over three decades of experience in the investment industry. In 2005, he transitioned to our firm after serving as Senior Vice President at US Trust of New York, where he adeptly managed more than 60 family relationships totaling assets exceeding $700 million. Prior to this role, he held the prestigious position of Chief Investment Officer at the Washington office of US Trust for a five-year tenure.
His journey in investment commenced as an Investment Assistant at Fiduciary Trust Co. of New York, and he progressed to the role of Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Horizon Trust of New Jersey, which later merged into JP Morgan Chase.
John's educational background is equally impressive, having earned a BS in Economics from the University of Dayton in 1968, followed by an MA from Wayne State University in 1971, and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1975. He is a distinguished Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an esteemed member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
